Crushing Christmas Holiday Hint #6

You had too much to drink OR you ate too much and are now feeling like you’re suffering from a severe “hangover”. That doesn’t mean that you can’t do any exercise! In fact, something gentle might be just what you need to feel a little better, once your stomach has settled down and you have had plenty of fluids. If you are dehydrated, it is not a good idea to go full out at the gym to try and punish yourself . Brain fog and reduced coordination are also reasons not to engage in any hardcore workouts. Instead, why not do three rounds of a gentle body weight workout in your pjs.

  1. Jumping jacks (10) or walk them out, depending on how the old head feels
  2. Push ups on your toes or knees (max rep)
  3. Heel taps (obliques) 10/side
  4. Jump squats (10)
  5. Bulgarian split lunges 8/side or you could keep your leg on the ground
  6. Dips (max rep)

If a light workout is just not going to happen, spend time stretching. That seems to be the last thing anyone has time for in their busy schedules!

  1. Couch stretch
  2. Hamstring stretch
  3. Pectoralis/chest stretch
  4. Hip/Glutes stretch
